My element is boron. Its atomic number is the number 5. My element is found in emergency flares, preservatives and different insecticides. The people who recognized my element were Sir Humphry Davy, Joseph Louis Gay-lussac and Louis Jacques Thénard. the way I stumbled upon my idea for my print was I saw that it was used in insecticides, so I used a picture of a plane dropping insecticides. I thought that fit very well. I carved in the plane and added in the smoke and insecticides and then placed the B and the 5 on the plane. Making the prints was a weird process and it was very difficult. I just placed the paper on the painted tile and pressed it with the spoon and my hands. the thing i like doing the best was drawing the sketches in the beginning. Next time i will just make sure to cut it better. In this print there is a plane dropping insecticides down. The boron is used to make the insectisides and i thought it would be unique to just add the plane actually dropping it.
